Since its founding in 1987, MMEP has underscored the importance of the collaborative process as the foundation for decisions about meaningful action. This commitment to common purpose and collaborative action is the glue that holds MMEP together.

 

MMEP convenes discussions, conferences, and workshops on topics which impact the success of students of color in Minnesota.

After School Intervention Collaborative (ASIC)

MMEP seeks to develop strong competency of assisting after school programs as they relate to promoting educational equity issues.

Supreme Court Forum: On October 9, 2007, MMEP and Wm. Mitchell College of Law co-hosted a public forum on the topic of the United States Supreme Court's decision rejecting integration plans in two major public school districts. Over 160 people attended and participated in this interactive evening.

The conference convening was instrumental in bringing key people together in workshops to share information and ideas and to form connections; all to facilitate the improvement of our educational system for students of color in Minnesota.
