“I have relied often on the work of MMEP to inform and improve upon the programming and professional development outreach we offer to better serve our K-12 schools and communities throughout the state.”
- Barbara Hackett Cox
Arts Education Partnership Coordinator
Perpich Center for Arts Education
A high quality education is an immediate benefit to a student and his or her family. The impact of that student’s success is felt throughout the broader community as well.
Minnesota students increasingly come from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. As this trend continues, the success of Minnesota will steadily depend on the academic social progress of all our students.
MMEP’s mission is to increase success for students of color in Minnesota schools, college, and universities. Through research, advocacy, and convenings, MMEP regularly contributes information to the dialogue of how to enact change for success. As a collaborative entity, MMEP brings together representatives from academic institutions, nonprofits, businesses, and communities from all over Minnesota who recognize the broad public good of high quality and equal educational opportunities and want to gain and share ideas for action.
