Advocacy

MMEP maintains its strategic position as an intermediary between communities of color and major education policy tables by advocating for students of color through staff members' membership on Minnesota P-16 Partnership and the Minnesota Department of Education's Accountability and Assessment Stakeholder committees.

Our presence at these tables allows MMEP to achieve its mission of increasing the success of students of color by contributing to, and influencing, the policy decisions of these two constituencies.

Academic Enrichment Guide

MMEP collaborates with schools, community-based organizations, and other academic programs to recruit students of color into summer and after school enrichment programs.

Project Empowerment Leadership Institute

The Project Empowerment Leadership Institute (PELI), is a proven leadership development model that builds the capacity of families, school staff, community members, and administrators to work together to increase student achievement.
